HydroGuard Passive Safety Panel

Our flagship product is a modular safety panel that bolts onto containment walls or storage enclosures and immediately upgrades them for accident-grade protection. Inside a single additively-manufactured metal body, the panel passively removes excess heat, converts flammable hydrogen into harmless steam, and traps hazardous particles—without fans, pumps, or external power. If temperatures or pressures rise, gas flows through the panel’s internal micro-channels, where built-in catalysts neutralize hydrogen while hidden heat-pipe pathways pull the reaction heat outward and dissipate it. A porous filter at the outlet captures aerosols before any vented gases leave the building. The result is a compact, maintenance-light add-on that turns existing or next-generation energy systems into inherently safer, cleaner, and more resilient assets.

The Problem

During a severe event—whether in a nuclear reactor, a hydrogen-storage vault, or an enclosed battery farm—three hazards emerge at once: heat builds up, internal pressure rises, and hydrogen can accumulate to explosive levels. Conventional mitigation relies on powered fans, pumps, or separate catalytic skids; if electricity is lost or components fail, those systems go offline precisely when they’re needed most. The HydroGuard™ Passive Safety Panel removes all three risks in one passive step. It wicks heat out of the enclosure, converts flammable hydrogen–oxygen mixtures into harmless steam, and traps radioactive or toxic aerosols—all without external power or operator action—turning a potential chain-reaction scenario into a controlled, vented release that preserves the integrity of the facility and the safety of people nearby.
